The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has formally re-started IPL 2025 after a one-week security suspension. Seventeen league matches will resume from 17 May, while the knockout phase will now run 29 May – 3 June. Extra buffer days replace several double-headers to ease player workload in the summer heat.
