Kawasaki has officially relaunched the Versys-X 300 in the Indian market, pricing it at ₹3.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This reintroduction marks the return of the entry-level adventure tourer, which was previously discontinued in 2020 due to the implementation of BS6 emission norms. The 2025 model comes with updated graphics and a new colour scheme, while retaining its core mechanical components.

Engine and Performance

The Versys-X 300 is powered by a 296cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine derived from the Ninja 300. This engine produces 39.45 bhp at 11,500 rpm and 25.7 Nm of torque at 10,000 rpm. It is now compliant with OBD-2B emission standards and is paired with a six-speed gearbox featuring an assist and slipper clutch.

Fuel Efficiency: The Kawasaki Versys-X 300 is equipped with a 17-litre fuel tank. It offers a claimed mileage of approximately 22 km/l under standard riding conditions. This translates to an estimated range of around 374 km on a full tank, making it suitable for long-distance touring without frequent refueling stops.

Design and Features

The motorcycle maintains its adventure-touring design, featuring a tall windscreen, upright seating position, and a 17-litre fuel tank. It rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels with tube-type tyres. Suspension duties are handled by a 41mm telescopic front fork with 130mm of travel and a rear monoshock with 148mm of travel. The bike offers a ground clearance of 180mm and a seat height of 815mm. Kerb weight stands at 175 kg.

In terms of features, the Versys-X 300 includes a semi-digital instrument cluster with a gear position indicator and dual-channel ABS. Lighting is provided by halogen headlamps and indicators. Optional accessories such as knuckle guards, panniers, and fog lamps are available for customization.

Colour Options

The 2025 Versys-X 300 is available in two dual-tone colour schemes:

• Candy Lime Green / Metallic Flat Spark Black
• Pearl Horizon White

These new colour options are complemented by refreshed graphics, enhancing the motorcycle's visual appeal.

Market Positioning

Priced at ₹3.80 lakh, the Versys-X 300 positions itself slightly above competitors like the KTM 390 Adventure and Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. While it may lack some advanced features offered by rivals, its twin-cylinder engine provides a unique proposition in a segment predominantly occupied by single-cylinder motorcycles.
